The Envy 17 has a displayport, but is there any confirm sources that the Envy 17 displayport has the ability to output 2560x1600? I would like to know before I sell my current notebook to get the Envy 17 notebook to use with a 2560x1600 monitor?

I think it depends on your graphics card. And, it depends on the generation of your Envy, if it is an 2xxx Envy which has the 6850M, it should be able to, according to my research. I do not know about the 3rd gen Envies...

I have tested mine on my 32" TV in 1920x1080, I don't know if that's any good info for you.
