I've dropped my Sony Vaio VGN-S260 at least 5 times from heights of 3-4 feets and once while I was doing a clean install which pretty much bricked my computer for a good hour. But even after all of that it's still worked fine and there was never any visible damage to it.

Has anyone dropped or hit their Envy? If so what happened to the laptop. I feel like the smallest drop is going to break something haha.

Lol, that made me laugh. Why would I hit my Envy  . But getting on topic, I've dropped it once from a chair while it was on my lap, but nothing visible and it was carpet, I wouldn't want to test it on a hard floor.

The metal is not the most durable material in the world. It dents easily enough that my last Envy became dented without my understanding when and how it happened. I just noticed a dent in the top one day.

I have never dropped my old or new Envy. I do my best to carry it with care.

Yea that's the feeling I'm getting with the envy. Even though its metal I feel like its super fragile. Well I guess I'll figure out how durable it is when I eventually drop it haha

my sister once dropped it on the hardwood floor while sitting on the sofa. I wasn't there when it happened and it was only about a 1-2 weeks old. Luckily, there was no damage what so ever. I didn't even know what happened until she told me that she dropped it. No scratches, and no HDD damage.

On another note, I have quite a few scratches on the lid from other places. So avoid rough contact because your gonna have a nice scratch on the lid if you don't take care of it.

Edit: Dropped from a height of around 3-4 feet i think.

My girlfriend knocked my envy off the bed and the top left of the screen hit the hard wood floor from about four feet. The metal barely dented but my month old radiance screen was shattered. I bought a radiance screen only for $500 off ebay. (I didn't pay for it :) ) I also got a free bright view out it from h to tha p.
