I know that Envy 15 has the ability to use RAID using the Dual SSD option:

    From HP website:
Versatile storage options include the ability to add two solid-state drives in a RAID-0 configuration to improve the overall speed of the ENVY 15 while providing excellent disk performance.

Now my question: It's possible to use RAID 0 using two HD 7200rpm?
The default one comes with 500GB Seagate then I'll buy another one of this + the hd caddy and cable to install it.

    Anyone?

if hp says there's RAID , it should work.. anyways , i would nver buy the laptop if i were u.. no optical drive etc... u can get way better laptops for the same price like a Sager NP8760 which should support RAID 0...

Ohh please Sean, who needs a Optical drive these days? I'll buy one Blue-Ray External for U$150 on Amazon just for the movies (once a month).

And what is Sager? Sorry I really want to buy one laptop that I can trust like HP, Dell, Lenovo, Sony and that's it. And did you saw the size of this Sager? 8.35 lb. (16.25" x 11" x 1.69~2.25") against 5.19 lbs (14.96" (W) x 9.60" (D) x 1.04" (H)) of Envy.

Now come one .. with this size, Core i7, Full HD LED, DDR3 and Raid .. this is not the best laptop ever? If not, please point me in another direction.
Dell has Studio 17 (bigger and no Raid) and Studio XPS 16 (only one HD).

    Why Sean?
I think that dv8t it's a success too .. but is way too big (and heavy).
And do not support RAID :(
