Hi there:
I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-7000, I started to make a new installation on my HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits.
I deleted all hard disk partitions and created two new partitions, one for the SO and other for Data.
But when the installer is finishing installation I get an error saying that it couldn“t configure Windows 7 in my hardware.
I can't install Windows 7 Ultimate nor Windows 7 Proffesional.
I've been searching for others having the same problem but found a few f them, none of them got a solution.
Could you please help me with this issue?
Thanks in advance
Rafael

I'm wondering what hard drive and size you have but.....
Try doing a fresh Win 7 install and when prompted delete "all" partitions and re-format the drive (NTFS). When (if) the install completes, you will be left with two partitions. One partition will be for the OS (labeled Local Disk/ c) and the other will be a hidden (system reserve partition visible only through the windows disk manager).
Provided the clean OS install to a clean hard disk works, you can then create an additional partition for data if that is your preference... though personally I see little to no benefit.
Best and hope that helps,
Dave
