I just bought a esata cable from newegg, but it doesn't seem to work with my new dv4t. It has the same transfer speed as my usb. Is there anything I can check or update a driver. And what about AHCI? Thanks.

    It's working.
What is the speed of your esata vs usb?
What is the drive you are using to test it with?

I tried to transfer a 9GB folder with both esata and usb, and both had the same speed. I'm 100% sure the esata is not at it's potential. I have the Fandom Greendrive with esata/usb.
