I know that this is a somewhat ridiculous question, but ballpark, what can I expect to get from my DV6T a year from now? If it helps any, I got the 2720QM/8GB/650GB-7200RPM/2GB-6770GPU/1080p. Think I could get half back ($500-600)?

    Maybe.

Next year people can just spend $100-$200 more and get the latest hardware, which people would probably want since AMD is due for a big performance boost next year with their new CPU and graphics architectures and GPU die shrink.

But who knows, maybe you'll find a guy with an inflexible budget and your DV6t will still be a capable system.

It's going to be a pretty tough sell. You'll need to find somebody who cares a lot about CPU performance, but not enough to shell out the cash for Ivy Bridge.
