    Cross multiply and divide, for the win

    undervolting ([email protected]) ... started it cold on battery (ie. startup, not hibernation), been using it for 77 minutes battery is at 77%, so I've used 23%
    so, 77/23 = x/100

    23x = 7700

    x = 334.78260869565217391304347826087

    thats 5.5797 hours

    edit: I should be clear, this is using a 12-cell

    hmmmm....... I might give this undervolt thing a look closer.

    Wouldn't it drain faster as when it get lower in power?

    why would it drain faster at lower power levels? If it does, I haven't noticed.

    well, I'm thinking of an old battery technology I guess. I haven't really timed my dv8000 yet. But I believe it's about 2 hr or so.
    Mine only have an 8 cell battery in it. Plus it's a 17" and I think that will draw a lot of power no matter what brand it is.

    Undervolt (if you can), turn down your monitor brightness, and make sure you're using a lower clock speed. If you're just using windows power schemes, just select "max battery"
