I recently came across something weird on my Envy 14. I seem to be being limited to 100 Mbps through my ethernet port. I'm using a cat5e cable and I used to get 400+ Mbps before a reformat. However, after my reformat doing speedtest.net came up capped at a download rate of 100 Mbps. Does anyone know what could be the problem? I have installed the correct drivers but still cannot go above 100.

I feel like I got the same problem not sure if its the cable or not but I used to download at like 6-7 megabytes per second now its like 900 kb/s, lame
EDIT: I also did a reformat a couple of weeks ago and this decrease in speed happened -
What operating system did you reformat with? I started with Home Premium and went to Professional.

bad cable?
and what kind of router/switch is at the other end of that cat5e cable? -
I'm on campus so no router. It comes straight from the wall.
