Compaq V3030CA: $1199.99, Turion X2 TL-52 processor, 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, lightscribe DVD-RW
HP dv2020CA: $1199.99, Turion X2 TL-50 processor, 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD, non-lightscribe DVD-RW
Now, unless HP posted its information wrong regarding the V3030CA, I don't see why anyone would get the dv2020CA. Specs-wise, the Compaq has the HP beat in about every category. Could anyone please tell me the reasons of getting the dv2020CA instead? If you're wondering why I posted this, I'm trying to decide between the two. Thanks!

they are both the same manufature so go with the higher specs.

The hp model has a remote and a built-in webcam.
-
It also has Quickplay which lets you listen to music and watch DVDs without booting up the computer.

But as was mentioned above, the dv2020 should have the webcam and remote as extras. I would say either should perform similarly. The difference between the TL50 and the 52 is not noticable during everyday usage. -
I just got the dv2020ca today. I THINK it has lightscribe, as the lightscribe program comes with the bloatware and it also had a brochure.
The mouse buttons, although a little on the loose side, don't seem THAT bad.
Exactly why should anyone get the dv2020ca (Canadian model)?
