Hey guys, so my mom ordered me a dv5t (the 14.5 ich one ) and i've been trying to exchange it with the envy 14.

I've talked to three people, the first was the chat support and the told me to customize an envy in my cart. The second was an email and they just told me to go chat with them and request an exchange.

The third person was the person who actually attempted to do the exchange, but apparently you can't use a different credit card to supplement the extra cost

What i want to do, is to return my current laptop ( the dv5t ) which was about 600 dollars and order an envy 14 but i need to cover the cost by my own payment method ( either card or paypal )

Is this possible? has anyone ever had this problem, any suggestion,

    Thanks for your help

Why not just return the dv5 and then order an Envy? Exchanges are usually tricky with online companies.

yes, as abaddon said, just tell HP you want to return the dv5t and get a refund (as long as you are within 21 days). then buy whatever model you want.

those phone sales reps sometimes talk BS to try to make a commission sale.
