15h July. It will be announced in conjuction with Intel's Centrino 2 launch event. In fact, if you're at Intel's event now, all the HP Centrino 2 models should be on display.

Any idea when these will be released in Canada? They aren't on HP Canada's website yet. Also any idea when retailers up here will get them?

Do HP usually has a plan of releasing its laptops worldwide?

I know someone who works in HP (Middle east) and he received an offer before 3 days:

For the coming 30 days, get 2 HP laptops at COST PRICE in certain shops.

1- Is there a hope for the dv5t to be in stores in Middle East in coming 20 days?

2- What about the cost price, if a laptop in a store costs around 1000$, How many should we substract?

Yeah, I couldn't find them either. I'm looking for a 17", and couldn't find it until I did a quick search. If you click on Entertainment Powerhouse, they list the dv7t and dv7z, but you won't be able to find them if you click on 17.0 to find 17" screens.

I suspect we'll only see retail models of those, same as with the later dv2000z series. Yeah, frustrating.

Sometimes you just wonder why the product specialist or business devs in certain HP markets are in their jobs when they can severely underestimate the market expectations in terms of product specifications and options.

Preconfigured ones were available a week or two ago. Now the configure-yourself option is up on the web site.

I configured one just to see, said the ship date would be September 4. Just curious; I ordered a dv5z 10 days ago and it's arriving tomorrow, so I don't need the 6735b now.

Based upon facts and rumors, it might not continue. The HDX wasn't very successful.

The new Elitebook 6930 is available in I believe 5 or 6 pre-configured models with a CTO to follow soon.

The HDX has in house competition with the Touchsmart and more people are being attracted to the touchsmart because of the gimmicky touch screen, which works well, but I have yet to think of a reason why the standard person would need that ability...
