My zv6005us has the dedicated 128megs and it plays empire earth 2 great. I followed the notebook optimizer from the hardware section and it worked great. I would sure like to know more about the Express 54-based card for video? How will they work?

I don't think there will be any option for express 54 video. You are probably confusing the mxm, but the zv6000 doesn't have it.

I think i'm wondering a similar thing. Some dude at Bestbuy told me that since this has the pc express slot, the video ram or card or whatever (he wasn't very specific) could possibly be upgraded.

I don't play games, but i do video capture/ editing. So far the zv6000 has worked great. I'm just wondering about possible upgradeability later on. waddau think?

It won't work. Express 54 is just an update of the old PCMCIA/PCCard slot. There is an internal mini PCIe slot standard, nVidia's MXM, and maybe an ATI equivalent, but HP didn't provide one.

For starters, decent GPUs require way more power and cooling than an Express 54 slot can provide.
