    Has anyone who has had their dv series with the expresscard remote for over 6 months had to replace the battery? I have had my laptop for 8 months and using it now, it doesnt work. Have barely used it though (5 times maybe) and I did so only 2-3 weeks ago. So I dunno if its the battery or the thing is dead :(

    I think the batteries they ship are old or something. Mine doesn't work at all, and I just got it.

    edit: hm...nvm. I had it in backwards :p

    Check the battery connection. If the battery door is not flat and even, the batter itself has a tendency to be forced off the inner center (+) terminal by the outer (-) one.
