    Hey all,

Got a Compaq V3000 with dying broadcom wireless. I'm trying to use an Expresscard wireless card from Belkin. Problem is XP doesn't seem to detect that the thing is plugged in. I plugged the card into my DV2000 and it works fine. I don't have any other Expresscard devices to test in the V3000. Anyone know what the problem is? The card lights up, so power is obviously supplied to the card. It just isn't being detected. All drivers were installed prior to plugging in the card.

Uninstall the drivers and try plugging the card again. See if it automatically detects it

I have the same exact problem with my V3000. The Linksys Express card WEC600N works only on the HP Dv6000 but for some reason doesn't get detected at all on my V3015NR Presario. Tried reformatting and fresh installing Windows XP as well. Only other option now is taking it in to some place and hope for the best or upgrading to the dreaded Vista to see what happens.
