This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Extended warranties through 3rd party, accidental damage ones too? or only through HP

    I was thinking about getting an extended warranty on my dv7 laptop which i just bought from HP (on its way eventually).. I think i have the standard one year warranty.

    I'm not even sure if HP will let you add on extended warranties either up to the 21 day period or the 1 year standard period (if bought through them)?

    Does mack sell anything.. anything with accidental damage?

    Wondering if this is worth it.. ie: getting accidental damage from HP.. anyone used this before.. if you drop it and it cracks/breaks, do they really replace it? (i think it was $250).
