    External Microphone

    I have a problem when I connect an external microphone in my dv6000. It is not working. I don't know if the problem is in the jack or in some configuration of my notebook. When i plug it in, my built in microphone also stop working.

    I would appreciate some help,

    Check your mic volume in your volume control, and make sure its not muted.

    It is normal for your internals not to work when an external is plugged in like speakers for example.
