did anyone manage to boot off their external USB hard drive?

i installed Vista on it using VMWare, but its not booting. it just says "no operating system found"

i have USB boot enabled ofcourse.

i have F.09 BIOS on dv9500t if that matters.

this isnt Vista-specific.... i mean did you get ANYTHING to boot using your external hard drive :)

ok i got my USB HDD to boot with Vista installed on it.... except i got a BSOD (0x7B)

it could have happened because of a couple of things, but im going to be trouble shooting it for a couple of days instead of working on my intense physics HW :p
