Just thinking about getting a better warranty. Currently, my nc8430 has 3-Yr Mail-In warranty. I'm thinking about upgrading to the 3-Yr Next-Day At-Home with ADP for $249.

I've read the warranty guide, and I've been thinking about this since I bought this machine. I've been thinking about it more since I had a recent scare when I thought my notebook was fried. Fortunately, a re-installation of XP solved the problem where my machine would not boot.

    Benefits over the current warranty:
    • Accidental Damage Protection (Just in case, you never know)
    • If it breaks, HP will supposedly have a tech on the next business day. (Lifesaver if the PC dies during the college semester)
    • I don't have to mail it in if something goes wrong.
But the only thing I don't know is how well HP's service is with regards to business notebooks. I've had consumer notebooks in the past, but all mail-in warranties and were slow to return the notebook and sometimes they didn't fix it.

Does anyone have direct experience with the business techs and their warranty service?
