Hi all - can't use Vista so really need to downgrade to XP - buggered it up last time as I think I installed an incorrect BIOS - is there only one F.13 HP Bios or are they model specific? If so - where do I download one for my HP2799 Special Edition?
    Thanks in advance,
    Stephen.

Ok first of all the BIOS is for a range of HP models so is not model specific, same BIOS for dv2500/dv2700/v3500/v3700.

For bios and drivers updates you should go hp website and type in your model (you can skip the special edition part, just hp 2799):
    http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html?pageDisplay=drivers

By the way, latest version is F.25

I know - I need to downgrade - not upgrade. If I don't downgrade I can't use ACPI with Windows XP. I tried to use F.13 before but it bricked the laptop :( Looks like I'm stuck with Vista :(
