The F.28 and F.29 series has been the best version of the BIOS for me yet. I was on the F.16 forever but upgraded to the F.28's and have been even happier since. The only complaint I have is that after I upgraded to the F.29, the CPU whine returned.

I've been on F.16; I've been wondering whether I should update my BIOS to F.29. What are the improvements with it?

I upgraded last week from F.16. For me, it has been a godsend in regards to reducing the HD or fan noise - not sure which was the culprit. It is now a soothing, almost ocean sound that you find in a sound machine.....way, way better. So far, I have had zero issues and it does seem to run a touch cooler

Sorry guys i made a typo of F.29 on this whole thread when its really F.39

Okay i decided to reflash my bios to (F.39, 27/08/2007) from F.25 (28/3/2007).

I actually like it. No major changes, its stable and i dont notice the fans. I noticed its running about 2-4 degrees cooler but i could be wrong since its well within the margin of my perception
