Did the HD test and it failed, begins to boot but goes to black screen w/ cursor. What I was told when I called HP and from what I reasearched myself you can't just pop another HD in without encountering problems and even another dead HD. Is it the software in the laptop or are some HDs not compatible? Is there an HD that I can use without having issues? The old HD is a Samsung HM 121 Hl 120GB 5400 SATA. I have a new Seagate Momentus 7200 200GB SATA, think it would work??

Thanks. Why, is the Seagate SATA II? I thought it also had something to do with software.
