I just noticed today that my dv6t is making a soft buzzing sound. I know that it is coming from my fan because when my fan speeds up, the frequency of the buzzing also increases. Is it a sign that my fan could be breaking or can I ignore it?

Try blowing a can of compressed air in the fan, sounds like something is lightly obstructing the fan. I don't believe it is failing, when a fan is failing it first starts sounding bad only at low rpms then settles when it kicks into high speed. It's probably hitting something.

A few days after getting my dv6z my fan started making a buzzing/rattling noise. At first boot it doesn't make the noise, but when the fan speeds up to around medium the buzzing starts. If it keeps heating up like during a game and reaches high fan speed, the noise goes away. When the fan goes back to medium and anything below that, it starts to make a buzzing noise again. Is this something to worry about?

Yup, it was dust. My friend's laptop fan failed on his and it sounded like a lawnmower :D

That is strange. Sounds like it may be loose or something.
