Hi,
Ive been offered an old laptop (for 50). The thing is, it blue screens...
I previously had a go at trying to find out more about the specific error but Google didnt really help at all ("IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL", related to usbuhci.sys).
I had a play with it before, and found the BS's only happen a few minutes after you first boot up the laptop. If it successfully passed these few initial minutes (for whatever reason), it was fine from there on. Moreover it would stay fine even if you put it into standby, only shutting it down caused the same issue to return (seems to suggest its not a hardware fault?).
I ran some prime95 tests to see if it was temp dependent, doesnt seem to be...
What I really want to know though is given this issue, do you think the price is right? What do you think it would be worth in working condition?

It's an old laptop, a working laptop with the same specs I would expect to cost 50-75 euros... not worth it IMO since that thing might have a bad motherboard.

Have you tried a windows reinstall ?

Thanks for the replies. Actually no, I myself haven't tried a reinstall. I figured that would have been the first thing the previous owner would have tried, but maybe ill make sure...
But I guess unless I solve it, it's not worth it.
Thanks.
Faulty nx6110 price?
