    FedEx information number for Compaq/HP orders

    the direct number for information on compaq/hp orders is 1800-455-4588, 8am - 6pm central time. apparently hp has a special shippment service deal with fedex, called IP Direct Distribution. sounds kinda like they wait till they have a load before they leave china, and also the rest of the fedex services, express, ground, etc, has no connection to find out what is going on with these shipments. just another f__ked process of HP. what a company

    I called twice since I ordered my laptop and they called this morning (out of my request and a nice old ladies kindness) to inform me it has shipped!

    I was provided a FedEx tracking number and am watching it move on www.fedex.com [ :D]

    Im sorry I misread your comment, I thought you where praising the shipping process, I myself so far have found it perfect.

    The number I used is 1-888-215-8889 which is listed as HP Order Status.

    Also I ordered a customized one from Best Buy (throught a store) and not online which is what difference you may be having from mine.
