    Hello,

I own the DV2000t notebook from HP and have made no upgrades, keeping it with completely stock hardware, and my problem occurs when moving the LCD:

    1) When stock speakers are not muted and the LCD angle is adjusted to a lower degree, a high frequency feedback emits from the built-in Altec Lansing speakers.

    2) When stock speakers are muted and the LCD angle is adjusted, no noise occurs at all.

Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you for reading. I appreciate your time.

On my first dv6000t I would hear a high pitched noise comming from the LCD Inverter. It sounded as it it were straining it was kind of strange but I didn't mute the speakers to see if it went away. I'm now on dv6000t #2 and I don't have the problem. LCD Inverters go all the time and this is a fairly common issue, the only thing that can be done is to keep the display on max brightness or to send it in and get a new inverter installed.
