    Hi does anyone know of any software i can use my HP Pavilion dv2500 Notebook PC fingerprint scanner to lock and unlock folders with the scanner?

    I don't think that is possible with the Verisoft software. You might need something else.

    You need software that does the locking. The fingerprint scanner just would enter the password, it does not do anything like that on it's own. If you want a really secure your data, use truecrypt.

    The fingerprint reader can enter passwords for truecrypt.
