I just did a clean install of vista on my new HDX 16 and although the driver for the fingerprint reader is installed, I still need the software for it. I've searched and searched, and the fine members of this board are my last resort. Any help would be appreciated.

did u try visiting HP support and download the drivers from there ?
i always find my drivers on HP support site -
I have the old driver before I did the clean install. The driver is installed and running, and my computer can detect the fingerprint reader, but there doesn't seem to be any software for it.

i am a bit confused,
to finger print readers need software along with there drivers to work?,
or i need more benefits from the software like storing the passwords,
any way do you remember the software name maybe i can search it for u ? -

It turns out that I needed the 64 bit version, but that was very easy to find after I knew what the software was actually called. Thanks a lot.
