    Hi

Does anyone know which is the Firewire Chipset used in the HP laptops (nc8430/nw8440/dv6000t ). Is it the TI Chipset? or Richoh chipset? or anything else?

I heard there are issues with Firewire chipsets other than TI if we want to use the laptop for connecting with audio tools (m-audio) etc. This is discussed in detail for Dell laptops (which use Richo chipset) at the following post

Wanted to just check if HP's have the same issues or they are any better?

    Thanks
    Raju
