Someone needs to explain to me how people think that buying a mainstream laptop like the zv6000 with the ATI 200M is suppose to be good for gaming? If you want to game, buy a GAMING laptop (VooDoo Envy, Dell XPS, Alienware Area-51m, etc...). The people on this board that buy the zv6000 and then complain that the gaming perfomance is bad is driving me nuts (the reason I started this post). The ATI Express 200M GPU IS NOT a graphics chip for heavy gaming. Yes, it will allow you to run games, but it's not going to give some unbelievable framerates with maxed out settings. Come people.....get with the program. My apologies to all you sensible people on these forums that already understand the limits of this GPU :) Peace!

    Thanks,
    Snyperx

I'm thinking you saw my post on asking about the graphics card?
I know its suppose to be marketed below the X300, but i am wanting to know if it will have acceptable framerates on a game like farcry.

I haven't experimented with it at all, so i didn't know, thats why i posted that. If i can have acceptable framerates for a game like farcry (so it looks smoothe and doesn't all of a sudden freeze for few seconds)then the HP machine in my sig will be the machine i will probably get.
Sorry if you guys get to much of this stuff around here.

I agree with you sniperX, but even when you read on the ATI website, it does try and tell you what an amazing card it is. I only plan to use mine for some light gameing, and quality settings to me mean nothing, so as long as the game is playable, i am fine. You are right though, if you are a heavy gamer, buy a heavy gaming rig!

Read about the 200m and tell me it does not sound misleading..
    http://ati.com/products/Radeonxpress200m/index.html

    From link:
"Radeon® Xpress 200M delivers mobile-optimized performance and advanced functionality for today’s graphics-intensive business and communications applications, the latest 3D games, and high-quality digital entertainment."

    ^^If that isnt a crock^^

not to mention, from what i have heard, HP has UNDERclocked the GPU, so it doesnt even operate at its full potential! I plan to use an overclocking tool to at least bring it to normal.
