    new mobo is one way. I don't think you can flash it to remember it.

    There was a complex procedure to reset the BIOS, you should search for it here. It involves taking the laptop apart, however.
    An easier way in older notebooks, was to remove the battery and AC and hold the ON button for a couple of minutes. I'm not sure that this works on newer machines.

    How about opening up the memory compartment and removing the backup battery for a few minutes and reinstalling?

    I have not actually tried that but it works on most motherboards.
