    Hello


    I have HP Pavilion dv5000(dv5143ea) with Windows xp home edition, I was purchased Windows xp pro but when i tried but couldn't, Some body said for
    me you must install driver from HP site to format this drive.

    Any body help me!

    You don't need drivers to format a partition.

    If my memory serves me right you should only need to install the SATA drivers onto the XP install disk when you are going from Vista to XP. It might be the case though that you still need to splice the SATA drivers into the XP install disk in order to XP to be able to see the Hard Drive. If you look on the forum I post below it will describe how to do that:
