When I get my Vista Express upgrade, hopefully in a couple of days, I think i'm going to want to format and blow away my restore partition before installing Vista. However some of the software that came preinstalled on my machine I want to keep, namely the Sonic software. Is there anyway to install this from the restore disks that I made (w/o actually restoring), or do i need to just burn my SWSetup folder to DVD too and install what I want from there after I get the OS installed?

Also I think I may want to install the QuickPlay stuff, do i need to make a seperate 1gb partition for that to work properly (or just don't get rid of the current one that's there, I'm assuming that's what it's used for)

    (I have a DV9000 series)

I believe the SwSetup folder contains all sources (except recovery manager and HP total care). Also, the instant QuickPlay is not supported with vista on HPs so once installed, if you press the buttons it will boot the pc all the way to your desktop and launch the application...
