    Hi there,
To be more specific, is it possible to convert French version of DV9xxxt to English version? In general, what are the major differences? Bios? keyboard? OS (but I assumed this shouldn't be a problem for XP or Vista)?

You'll need a English Windows XP disc. I'm guessing the keyboard is different.

The keyboard layout is the main issue. Windows XP lets you choose which language you want during the first time you boot your laptop (it goes through configuration, that's where you pick up the language).

As for the english keyboard. There are two versions US and UK. An english speaker has all they need on a french keyboard anyways. As in I'm an english speaker, but I'm using a finnish keyboard. But since it's still a qwerty keyboard, I just had to learn where the symbols were.

And as far as I know with Vista you can just download the language pack.

With the BIOS there might be a setting to choose a language, one of them might be french.
