My two front audio ports don't seem to be working after a clean install of vista business. I can plug in a usb headset and it works fine, but when I plugged in two different ipod headphones they didn't seem to work, sound still came out of the laptop's speakers. This is on a dv6500t, are there any specific drivers to download? I tried auto-updating them from the device manager but it said the most recent drivers were already installed.

If its not too much trouble, do a recovery install with the recovery disks to eliminate a possible hardware problem.

You can also try installing the native conextant drivers to the computer

Yeah, most likely a driver issue.
