This problem that has been increasing in frequency here lately. Basically the sound goes out for no real reason. I have tried everything imaginable to fix this, including reinstalling/updating drivers, the bios, other operating systems. The only solution I have found is to hold the power and beats button for 5 seconds, load bios defaults, and wait till I have to do this again. It is getting to the point where I have to do this almost every day now and I just want to slam the computer against a wall. Is there any way to permanently fix this? Out of all the quality issues with this device, this has to be the most annoying.

Other problems include the Beats button getting suck when pressing it, an annoying rattle when slightly touching the clickpad, top right display bezel popping out occasionally, usb port dents, the "`" key activating if a feather lands on it, the keyboard backlight randomly cycling, fan going turbo under light load and not slowing down unless sleep/wake or restart, paint chipping all along the non-aluminum bottom. I understand wear and tear happens but I have babied this notebook. In contrast, I put a Dell E1705 through hell for 5 years and it still runs as good as the day I got it in 2006; that thing was a tank, weighed as much too though.
