Hello ppl,
maybe it was already addressed but i didnt find it:
How do i force my CPU to work at full perfromance when i am on batteries?
I have a :hp: DV4246ea Notebook with a :centrino: processor the gfx card is ati x700 which has an option in the drivers to work full perfromance even on batteries but i didn`t found any option for the CPU.
I noticed as i was playing NFS MW that it kind of stutterd, and as soon i pluged in the power cord it ran ok, the option for the gfx card was set to full performance. Anyone knows let me know.

You'll need to check 2 things if you want full performance on batteries. First, check the powerplay settings in your ATI driver settings. Sounds like you've done this. Either set powerplay to off, or set it to full performance while on batteries.
2nd, set your windows power settings to Full Performance. This will force your CPU to its highest clock speed.
That said, you should be plugged in to play games. You're not likely to get much battery life out of your laptop with your cpu & gpu running full speed all the time. -
Using this profile all the time, you will have less than 2 hours of battery time when idle and much less when playing games. -
10x for the info, i know that the battery life wil decrease at a faster rate but it happend just a few times to want to play something for an half an hour and then go back to the clases where i would plug him in. So thank you all for the help, see you all later
