GF8600m GT DDR3

I' m looking for hp laptop with GF8600m GT with DDR3 memory and I can't find the one. Anyone knows if hp is going to relase that config?

The only HP laptops that offer that kind of power are the 8510p, 8510w, 8710p, and 8710w that have cards equivalent to the 8600GT (8510w) or the 8700GT (8710p/w). The 8510p uses an ATI HD2600. The HDX is very powerful as well, but I'm guessing you do not want a 20" laptop!

 

You're right, I'm not interested in so big laptop. I want to buy 17'' screen. I hope hp will offer that gpu very soon, because 8600m gs is noticable slower...

 

dont think they will, they havent offered faster cards before with the dv8000 and dv9000

 

Look at the 8510p. It is a business class laptop with a 8600GT-equivalent GPU and has GDDR3 VRAM.

 

If you're looking at 17" screens, the HP Compaq 8710w has an 8700 based card. Technically, it's a Quadro FX 1600M, but replacing the Quadro drivers with GeForce drivers will make it an 8700M. I'm not sure what card the HP Compaq 8710p has.

 

Well, hp8510p is has 15'' screen, and i need 17'', hp compaq 8710w is quite good but it's too expensive. In my country it costs about 3000USD and my budget is max. 2000USD. Maybe you could offer some laptops from different manufacturer (but i really love to buy pavilion because its great, stylish look)?

 

get the Asus G2S, it has the 8600mGT, one of the models has the DDR3

or try the toshiba X205 with 8700mGT

you will have to check the local prices in your country

 

Hi im wondering how high temp can a 8600m GT GDDR3 endure?
Im running now :
Core clock : 621 mhz
Core shader : 1242mhz
Memory : 504mhz
And the temp is round 74'C ingame.. 85 to 100 fps in bf2 1024, All on high and 8x anti!

 

i think its upto 100 or 105 then it shuts down

 

Hard core gaming and i went up to 85'C on max..

 

The 8710p has the Quadro NVS 320M, which is the business line equivalent card to the 8700GT. Again, the right driver install and it will register as an 8700GT.

 

you should look into the 8700w

 

8710p is cheaper.

 

8710p is under 2000USD in my country so it's ok But the design is not very nice, i'd prefer one of the pavilion9000 series...but i suppose i can't have everything in that price:/ The choice is: good-looking laptop or good - poerformance laptop What do you think about screen in this model? Is it the same as in pavilion9000 series?

 

Shut down for CPU is about that. For the GPU, it's closer to 125.

 

Hmm I read somewhere the clock speeds on the Quadros is not the same as 8700M GT...

 

Yes, you're right. Quadro has lower clocks, but suprissingly the 3d marks are better on quadro than 8700gt:] Strange....Here's the link:

AFAIK, the only laptop that has the 320M is the HP 8710p...HP also has a history of underclocking their GPUs a little to save on heat and battery life. That explains why the clocks are lower.
