Hi, I'm facing some issues with my laptop and GTA IV The ballad of tony. Except of the lowest settings possible, the game is barely playable with lots of suttering, frame drops, etc.

    My laptop:
    Core i5 sandy bridge 2,3Ghz
    6GB DDR3 Ram
    AMD HD6770m 2GB (OC'ed to 850/950 mhz, using Leshcat Catalyst 12.x April 18th drivers)
    1366x768px display

    The Game:
    version 1.1.2.0
all settings set to "medium", AF 4x, sliders on 50

FPS in benchmark - 17.64 (for ex. with the lowest possible settings - 56fps)

Max temperatures: CPU 86°C, GPU 81°C

Is there any way to run this game better? Pls help

GTA IV needs a desktop quad-core i7 (overclocked) to run properly. Mobile Core i5 is a dual-core.

I know that Mobile Core i5 is a dual-core ;). But I was hoping for some decent gameplay at least on medium settings...

So, you're telling me, that this is absolutely normal and to achieve fluent gameplay with Core i5m is impossible? But what all the videos on youtube :D.

It may help if you turn Shadows off. No guarantees.

turn off AA and AF and tweak some sliders to reach 30+

draw distance may have to be lowered more
