    Games attempt to load, flash screen, minimize, sound, no video

    I just got my dv7t today. I installed Swat 4 and attempted to play it. The screen goes blank like it is attempting to load. then flashes the windows desktop. Then minimizes the program. I can hear it but not see it. Then I click on the minimized task bar for the program. It sometimes shows me the game for a 1/2 second and then right back to windows.

    At first I thought it was my external monitor messing with it, so I disabled it and only told it to use the notebook monitor.

    I have the same results with doing it that way. :confused:


    ETA. I updated to the latest video drivers at nvidia.com.

    I solved the problem. for anyone else having the same problem this is what I did. I disconnected my external monitor and rebooted. then I set the res to a standard res the game accepted 1024x768. It still didn't work, so I restarted the computer with that res. Then the game worked.

    After it worked the first time it would let me load it on the external monitor after I hooked it back in. Then I upped the res and now it works beautifully on my 9600M :)
