With the 20% coupon and other deals present right now the DV6500t is really cheap, but I would like to know how well it does games.
I know I just bought a laptop from dell and returned it that gad a 8600GT nvidia card which got a 3000 3dmark06 score, the GeForce 8400M GS in the DV6500 is definitely a downgrade in that its supposed to get a 1500 benchmark. However, this system is less than half the price as the Dell and has a smaller screen, I tried to play oblivion with the dell on a 17 incher and did not enjoy it at all. I can live without playing oblvion, since I can get that on consoles in the future, I'm just wondering if this is going to hold when starcraft 2 comes out...which is supposed to be designed to not be damanding and still play on lower end systems.
So if anyone with experience with the dv6500t can let me know how well it works for gamin I'd greatly appreciate it.

I can assure you that no one here can predict the future... Starcraft 2 will have its performance requirements when it hits the shelves... If you wanted to future proof I would have recommended going with the best video card in your budget range. Simply because you have no idea what Blizzard will define as "legacy" for their support and you have to accept the fact that games aren't written for laptop GPUs (which are slower than their D-Top counterparts)...
So taking a hit in the graphics department on a laptop can be severe if you plan on actually gaming...
