    I was hoping for some information on the different series of HP notebooks.

    What does the DV represent as opposed to some other letter?

    And also, do the numbers after the DV, for example, have any significance? As in the higher the number, the newer or better the spec?

    DV represents the line of HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebooks

    dv2000 series - 14.1' screen
    dv6000 series - 15.4' screen
    dv9000 series - 17' screen
