Well try sending in your pavillion dv9000 on repairs, what do you get in return?. Yeah, not only do the tech support (Like always) not know a motherboard from defragemnting your harddrive, even the teccies whom are supposed to repair it are a little slow. I urge you to send in your laptop with a graphics card related problem as well as sticky keys, and what do you get, oh yes they change the heatsink fan all right and reboot the computer with a regular ghost disk. But what they dont do is correct the error from the begin with! I got back the laptop and im excited that i can finally after three weeks on vacation can finally play another computer game or watch a movie. But what happens? You start playing Cod4 and the screen freezes. rundll32 is ****ed as well as a general retardness from the laptops side...

Anybody else whom have experienced similiar problems with hp?
Not only regarding warranty and repairs but the gerneral lack of knowledge of what a computer really is.

We all understand your pain, almost everyone has at one point received bad support from HP.

One thing I want to say though, is there are plenty of threads in this HP Section about the bad support people are receiving and so forth. I think we should just make a sticky thread about Good/Bad Support with HP so that we don't pollute the HP section everytime somebody has a bad experience with HP's support. I'm not trying to be mean Icenova and I'm not pointing you out in particular, it's just I see threads like this almost every day. If you do a search on HP support you'll probably find a thousand different threads on it.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience and I hope everything works out for you, sadly HP Support is a hit or miss type deal.....

Hard to sympathize when your first post ever begins with a thread title announcing your hatred toward a company which plenty of folks support. That doesn't diminish your problems, but your method of drawing attention to your issue immediately seems negative, IMO.

Might be helpful to ask a mod to change the your thread title to something more contructive.

With basic linguistical skills you could also read the last word in the title before you make accusations that i hate HP. As my title reads, "General hate about HP support." Saying the computer works great, until it breaks by any chance, but when you do need help from their side they send you to a person whom is trying to do their job but is lacking the basic skills of the informational age. So in conlcusion i still like hp as a company since theyre actually cheaper than say alienware and dell for their individual product, but that the knowledge of their support is lacking.
