I recently purchased a dv6000 special edition (white) and have been happy with it. But recently after login on to windows I get a white screen that can last from seconds to a min right before the desktop shows up. This morning it actually booted up without the white screen but it still worries me. Has anybody had this problem?

    Thanks for the reply,

I have a NVIDIA Geforce Go 6150. I'm pretty sure I updated the drivers but I'll check again. Any other suggestions if the update doesn't work?

    Hi all,

I am facing similar kind of problem. I am using HP pavilion dv6500t notebook series.

Whenever i restart and enter my password, it goes to the welcome screen but after few seconds, a white screen appears which remains permanent. :( Only if i press ctrl+alt+delete, it moves to the desktop menu and loads (but even this happens once in a full moon) :(

can anyone please help me in this issue ?
