Hey guys, I have a hp dv6575us which ofcourse has wireless N and I also have a linksys wrt310n wireless n router.
I have other notebooks and devices that also wirelessly connect to the router via wireless G.
How do I make sure that the HP uses a wireless N connection to the router instead of wireless G or B?

if it is not necessary i think that the router wont switch to wireless-N..
or that if you had the router setup web page, then it is possible to set the router only to use wireless-N only

i think you need to set the router to broadcast in wireless-n and that could be done in the localhost ip, i think. i dont have a wireless router yet.

Right-click on the network icon in the system tray, select "Network and Sharing Center".
Then, under and to the right of the network name click on "View status"
You will see the connection information, and right above the signal quality meter it will tell to the speed. 11=B, 54=G, more than 54 is N.

Don't configure your router to do "N" only, then nothing else will be able to use it.
