I'm about to post my Hp Pavilion dv6t-1200 onto Ebay to sell since I just got a new laptop. Although, first thing's first: wiping everything on this laptop. This will be my first format ever so treat me as a newb when answering please.

I was going to follow this guide (same guide with pics) but then I don't have a Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade DVD...Any other way of obtaining it without paying?

tl;dr Is there any other way to reset my laptop to stock and ready to sell while still retaining a working/Windows-confirmed OS?

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. Sorry for being a newb, I never got into computer info until I decided on getting a new laptop. Then all those 3 months I spent more time researching about that specific laptop. Can you believe I didn't know what a CPU, GPU, etc. were until 4 months ago LOL.

You should have gotten a re-installation CD with your laptop. Use that?

Turn on your laptop, tap F11 key (during the HP logo, before Windows starts). Does the built-in Recovery program start?

Oh, I think I found my answer then LOL. So you just do a backup through this program, restore the system to its factory settings, then...any drivers to install? By this, I mean is there a specific order (like the AW) to download the drivers? Download them onto a usb drive first right? EDIT: Oh, apparently from this guide
, I could download all the drivers, etc. through Hp Update/Health Checker and Windows Updater. Is this right?

    Anything else I should know?

    Thanks KLF :)

P.S. I'm guessing I should just follow the guide until it tells me to run the Windows Anytime Upgrade DVD? Do a factory restore, then continue to follow the guide after the Anytime Upgrade step?

EDIT: I found this once I figured out what I was looking for thanks to KLF. Is it better to follow this guide or the guide linked above? Thanks.
