Hey guys just trying to set this thing up and its killer hard.

Figured out it has an intel express 45 series chip set and got that installed, but I cannot seem to find any drivers for the 3870x2 and am thinking maybe it never came into existence?

Windows update gives me some generic drivers for it so it is recognized, but anything I download off the net doesn't give me the catalyst control panel or anything.

    Any thoughts?

www.driverheaven.net - download the "Mobility Modder". Then get the latest Catalyst drivers from AMD, and run the Mobility Modder on them. Result should be drivers for your 3870 x2. ;)

    Thanks, will do.

Also any idea how I can figure out what onboard sound I have on this thing?

I know there is an X-Fi in it, but none of the drivers I download form the net do anything so I was thinking there has something that powers the speakers.
