This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     The HD on my dv3t is having serious problems and may need to be replaced altogetherÂ…was thinking about SSD for all the obvious advantages but especially since I travel with this thing and all the jostling is probably what did it, presumably SSD will be more reliable.

    Is there any brand/model that is definitely compatible with my laptop, and/or easy to install? (I'm not a computer builder but I'm good at following directions).
