I just purchased a V2000 this morning from Costco.
It is a V2607cl model and has the following:

    AMD Turion 64 ML-32
    512MB RAM
    100GB Hard drive
DVD +_ R/RW and CDRW combo drive with double layer support

They sell it for $899 plus tax, however they have mailed out a coupon to all their members for $100 off, so I got it for $799 plus tax.

I love the laptop, it is just the right size for me. I do however have a question.

How do I get around to "localizing" my DVD player? I live in the US and play Region 1 DVDs however quite frequently I need to play Region 2 DVDs from Europe.

Anybody have done this crack or flash some people are talking about? What do I do?

DVDRegionFree or AnyDVD are a couple of answers.
