    I just use hp shopping to configure a DV5000Z using APP. It gave me $964 vs. similar configuration to V2000Z($959) but 128M Display.

    ML-37 CPU; 512M memory; 80G/5400RPM HD; WiFi; DVD-RW DL;

    Would 128 HT display memory attract you $5 more?

    If you take a look at my specs in my signature, you'll see that they're very similar to yours. However, just know that it's cheaper to buy the cheapest RAM possibly from HP (the 256 MB) and then buy the memory from a site like Newegg.com and install it yourself. I bought a 1GB chip from Newegg and it saved me a good amount.

    If you are refering to the GPU upgrade, it will give you a card reader, additional usb port and 4 pin firewire port which worth the money in my opinion.
