Every time I play a game and try to adjust the volume, it brings me back to the desktop and the volume bar pops up. Then after a couple of seconds it will switch back to my game. how do I adjust the volume within the game and not have the computer bring me back the my desktop?

Also, every time I start up a game. It wont go into full screen until I double click it. Does this have anything to do with the drivers?

    Thank You

Uninstall HP mediasmart and the volume thing wont happen. What game are you starting that doesn't go into full screen?

One more problem I have detected. Its seems like it could be either my CD Drive or Subwoofer rattling when my music volume is on high. Not quite sure. Any way to get rid of this rattle? Thanks

Ok. For bf:bc2, try to press alt+enter while in game. If that doesnt work then go to game settings and re-tick the fullscreen option. It worked for me on same game, i dont have that problem anymore. And for sound, go to IDT sound control panel and see on what srs option are speakers set. On game or movie option, my speakers usualy go wild after 'bout 85% of volume. It's because game or movie srs option increases the mid-high sound range for in game sound, like shooting, speech, cars and so on... and speakers sometimes can't handle that much sound so they or their board starts to vibrate. Try changing srs to music or playing with srs sliders, maybe even disabling srs. Maybe it even isnt srs, it may be bass, if you increased it too much, like 12, 15dB or more, pull the slider down a bit. Those solutions worked for me on my dv7

Alt+Enter works but that doesn't solve my problem. I want it to stay in full screen every time I start the game so that I don't have to click anything. I don't see the option to have the game in full screen within the game settings.

hey, sry, that was other game, my bad. for bf:bc2 go to your_username\documents\BFBC2\Settings.ini (not gamesettings.ini) and find Fullscren line. change fullscreen=false to true. that should do it

My game will go into full screen now. Thanks. I can't seem to find IDT Sound Control anywhere. I deleted a bunch of things off the computer so maybe I accidentally deleted that too...

You can go to start>control panel, switch view to large icons and trx to find it in there. Maybe an taskbar icon is hidden.
